Playing Copy-Protected Movies
QuickTime movies can be encrypted so that only authorized viewers can watch them.
Such movies are known as “secured media files.” To use such a file, you must enter a
“media key,” which is usually available from the media file provider.
To enter a media key (in Mac OS X):

Open System Preferences, click QuickTime, and click Advanced.

Click Media Keys.

Click the Add button and then enter the key provided by the author or vendor.
To enter a media key (in Windows):

Choose Edit > Preferences > QuickTime Preferences.
